The community has not changed much since the Holiday Special compared to how it was after "Monster Bash". In both scenarios, the way Marco, Tom, and Star have acted towards each other has prompted the Starco and Startom communities to have peaceful wars or discussions. In both scenarios, the main discussion has been about how Startom is very fragile and slowly deteriorating whereas the relationship between Star and Marco is getting back to the strength it was prior to "Face the Music". This has been the primary discussion of the SVTFOE community so far.
After the Holiday Special, the community especially focused on how Marco and Tom were fighting over Star as well as the Kellco (Kelly x Marco) reference, sparking discussion in the Kellco community as well. Most Startom fans are former Starco fans, so they are just switching back to Starco as Startom appears to deteriorate. Therefore, the main discussion going on is how in the fighting, Marco was basically confessing his feelings towards Star, prompting many to believe that the Season 3 Finale will see Starco.
The community as a whole has been very peaceful after the efforts of Lovguru23. This user prevented a "Naruto shipping war". Basically, some past shipping wars of the show have involved groups of violent Starco shippers verbally/emotionally assaulting the opposing ship (Jarco at the time). Due to the efforts of Lovguru23, though, most shipping wars over the past month and a half have been a "gentleman's" war: peaceful with constructive arguments and discussions. The cancerous shippers from Starco, and more recently Startom, have, for the most part, been purged from the community or calmed down to reason. It is because of this, as well as the community not changing much over the past month, that we have moved down to STARCON 5.
The STARCON Warning System is a nonprofit group that measures the current status of the Star vs. the Forces of Evil community and episode/season status. The STARCON Warning System is not affiliated with any Disney XD agency or other branch of Disney or their developers. EST on Tuesday, February 6, 2017 or when a promo/release date for Season 3B is released. We are now on the hiatus schedule.
